Dr. Afzal Sikander is working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Dr.
B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India. He has earned Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical
Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, with specialisation in Control Engineering. Dr. Afzal has over
10 years of teaching and research experience in the diverse field of Control Engineering. His areas of interest include control
theory and applications, model order reduction, machine learning, optimisation, robotics and renewable energy. He is actively
involved in various research projects funded by CSIR, ISRO, TEQIP, etc. He has published 48 research articles in reputed national/international
journals and conferences including 17 research papers in SCI-indexed journals. He is a member of the editorial board and Guest
Editor of numerous reputed journals. He has organised three international conferences on recent trends in Electrical Engineering
and Soft Computing in 2017 and 2018. Prof. Dulal Acharjee is working as Director in Applied Computer Technology, Kolkata,
India. Before, he worked as a Professor in the Department of CSE & IT of Purushottam Institute of Engineering and Technology,
Rourkela, Odisha. He also worked as Visiting Faculty in Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata. He received
M.Tech. degree in Information Technology from Tezpur University. Before, he did M.Sc. in Applied Physics and Electronics from
Dhaka University. He has long experience of working in software training and development industry. His research interests
are automated activity recognition system, sensor-based applications, microprocessor- and microcontroller-based embedded systems,
etc. He has 80 numbers of publications, 15 in international journals, 2 book chapters and others in different national/international
conferences. He has delivered 16 invited talks in international conferences. He has organised about 20 international conferences
as General Chair/Chairman in organising committee. He is an editorial board member of international journal of 'Microsystem
Technologies' of Springer Nature, a SCI-indexed journal. He is a Guest Editor of many special issues of this journal. Dr.
C. K. Chanda is working as a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIEST, Shibpur, India. He has earned
Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, B.E. College (DU), Shibpur, India, with specialisation in Power
Systems. Dr. C. K. Chanda has over 30 years of teaching and research experience in the diverse field of Power Systems Engineering.
His areas of interest include smart grid, resiliency, stability and renewable energy. He is actively involved in various research
projects funded by Centrally Funded Organizations like DST and UGC. He has published 135 research articles in reputed national/international
journals and conferences including 28 research papers in SCI-indexed journals. He is a member of the editorial board and Guest
Editor of numerous reputed journals. He has authored and co-authored many books in reputed publishing houses. Dr. Pranab
K. Mondal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati
since May 2015. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and completed his
Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2015. His principal research interest, encompassing the broad area
of microfluidics, has covered various facets of micro-scale multiphase transport, electro-kinetics and micro-scale transport
of heat. He is currently working on stability analysis of flows with free-surfaces, capillary filling of bio-fluids. He has
co-authored more than 65 refereed journals conference publications. Dr. Piyush Verma works as Senior Energy Policy Analyst
at the International Energy Research Centre in Ireland where he leads the policy and regulatory innovation work. He works
on the intersection of technology, policy, society and the environment and has significant experience researching, developing
and implementing energy transition policies in India, Vanuatu, New Zealand and Ireland. He has been selected as the World
Energy Council's Global Future Energy Leader where he actively contributes to shape the policy agenda of frontier technologies.
He also works as the Vice-Chair of Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe
in Geneva. He is an Electrical Engineer, a postgraduate in Power Systems, and has a Ph.D. in Energy Efficiency Technology
and Policy from The University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has also completed a programme on 'Public Policy Challenges of
the 21st Century' from the University of Virginia, USA.
