Told in gentle rhyme, Woods guides the Dublin vampire and the reader across the country. Introducing one haunted location after the other, including their spooky inhabitants. She manages that fine balance of making her spreads spooky but colourful, fun and friendly. Every location has a character of its own. Each spread is filled with activity and background characters to keep kids engaged again and again as they discover more. Overall, a lovely tour book of Ireland with the realisation that while it is lovely to visit strange new places, there is nothing as nice as coming home. Perfect for Halloween
