– På bokomslaget til denne romanen står det at hvis du likte "Vindens skygge" av Carlos Ruiz Zafon vil du elske denne boka. Jeg vil heller si at hvis du likte "Vindens skygge" vil du kjede deg og ergre deg over "Winter in Madrid" og bli irritert over at disse to i det hele tatt blir sammenlignet. Rammen for historien er den spanske borgerkrigen og den første tiden med Franco som statsleder, det er interssant nok. Men personene er stereotype, uengasjerende og forutsigbare, mens historien etterhvert blir kjedelig og uinteressant. Forfatteren får meg ikke til å bry meg rett og slett. Nei, les heller "Vindens skygge" - eventuelt om igjen!
