"The book is intended for a technical audience; however, the readability of the text makes it accessible for nonscientists interested in bioremediation. Ample diagrams, tables, and primary research resources accompany each chapter. This book will be a valuable resource for environmental science, environmental policy, and pollution control library collections."
— B. R. Shmaefsky, Lone Star College - Kingwood

Dr. Manoj Parihar is currently working at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora as a Soil Scientist in Crop Production Division. He did his graduation from SKRAU, Bikaner and selected as ICAR-JRF fellow for post-graduation in BHU, Varanasi. He has been awarded doctorate from the same university in the year 2018. He has received various recognitions such as ICAR-SRF, UGC-BSR, UGC-RGNF etc.
Binoy Sarkar is a Lecturer at the Lancaster Environment Centre of Lancaster University. Previously he was a Research Associate at University of Sheffield, and a Research Fellow at University of South Australia from where he also received his PhD. His research works extend to remediation of conventional and emerging contaminants in soil and water environments, and atmospheric carbon dioxide capture and carbon sequestration in soils. He has edited two books, and published >20 book chapters and >115 peer-reviewed journal papers including in Nature. He teaches Soil Science, Biogeochemical Cycles, and Earth’s Interior subjects, and has supervised seven PhD students and four post-doctoral fellows. He is an alumnus of Indian Agricultural Research Institute, awardee of the Australian Endeavour Research Fellowship pursued at Indiana University, and recipient of the Geof Proudfoot Award, and Desai-Biswas Medal.
Harikesh Bahadur Singh is presently a retired Professor of Mycology and Plant Pathology from IAS, BHU. Over the past 35 years, Professor Singh has served at Central Universities and CSIR Institutes with his teaching and research. Based on his scientific contribution and leadership in the field of plant pathology, Professor Singh has been honoured with prestigious awards, such as the CSIR technology award, M.S. Swaminathan award, Mundkur Memorial award, and BRSI Industrial Medal. His research has resulted in more than 300 publications and 17 books.
Leonardo Fernandes Fraceto PhD., has a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1997), a master's in Functional and Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas (2000) and a PhD in Functional and Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas (2003). He is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Science and Technology of São Paulo State University (UNESP), Campus Sorocaba at the Environmental Engineering undergraduate course and at the postgraduate in Environmental Sciences. He coordinated the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences of Unesp/Sorocaba (from 2012 to 2016). Actually, he is Fellow from the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has experience in environmental nanotechnology, with an emphasis on health and environmental nanotechnology and applications of nanotechnology in agriculture. He has published about 200 papers in international peer reviewed journals and has supervised undergraduate, graduate (master and PhD) and supervised Pos-docs. Dr. Fraceto has been active in the development of nanocarrier systems for the encapsulation of compounds with bioactive properties. In addition, from these studies, Dr. Fraceto has obtained grants from research fellow agencies, as well as, scientific/technological development partnerships with companies from different areas. It also highlights the effective performance in the training of human resources, through the supervision of students of undergraduation, master's, Ph.D and Post-docs. Many of your former students now hold positions at public and private Universities and Research Centers. As such, Dr. Fraceto has developed high-level research and contributed to scientific and technological development at the national and international levels, with numerous internationally renowned scientific collaborators.
