Hvis "Rosens Navn" er lettvekteren blant Umberto Ecos bøker er "Foucaults Pendulum" så definitivt tungvekteren. Og det er på ingen måte negativt. Umberto Eco er en allsidig herremann, men på historie slår han de fleste. Og særlig på å veve historiske underfundigheter og begivenheter sammen. "Foucaults Pendulum" er et fyrverkeri av en bok som enhver historieinteressert eller for den saks skyld en som vil ha dramatikk og spenning må lese. Helst bør man lese den to ganger, for her er så mye kunnskap og innsikt på alle områder. "Foucaults Pendulum" går "Da Vinci-koden" en høy gang og mer enn det!
