På engelsk ser du enda klarere hvordan han bygger opp sterke stemninger uten å bruke for mange ord. Han skildrer hovedpersonene slik at du må bry deg om dem. Hovedpersonen her opplever å bli forlatt av sine foreldre. Det er et trist utgangspunkt for boken, og det er ikke en lystig fortelling. Likevel vil du kose deg underveis, og til og med trekke på smilebåndet noen ganger. Les denne om du tør møte det som er sårt i ditt eget liv.
