Dr Julie Smith is a clinical psychologist with over a decade of professional experience. She is also an online educator and content creator with a combined following of more than 7 million. Julie launched her TikTok account to make good-quality mental health resources more accessible; her online posts have amassed more than 20 million likes. She has appeared on ITV's This Morning, Lorraine, Radio 1 Life Hacks, Radio 5 Live, and in The Observer, The Mail on Sunday and The Daily Telegraph, amongst many others.

Dr Julie's first book, Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?, was the best selling non-fiction title of 2022. Open When... is her much anticipated second book.
