Eric Nylund is the author of many novels including HALO: THE FALL OF REACH, the official prequel novelization of the Xbox game. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in chemical physics and lives near Seattle with his wife, Syne Mitchell.

– The Fall of Reach" handler om hva som skjedde før "Halo: Combat Evolved"; det annerkjente og utrolige skytespillet til xbox fra spillprodusenten Bungie. Men frykt ikke! Selv om boka er basert i verdenen rundt et dataspill betyr ikke det at den er dårlig... Bungie er kjent for å bruke mye tid på at historien rundt spillene deres skal bli fremragende (som man så i Myth- og Marathon-serien). I tillegg har de fått Eric Nylund til å skrive boka, og det var virkelig et lurt trekk.
"The Fall of Reach" er utrolig spennende fra begynnelse til slutt, og er et definitivt must for enhver Halo- eller Bungie-fan. Den er også en veldig underholdende bok for enhver som liker science-fiction sjangeren.
