– Rushdie som alvorstynget aktør i religionsdebatt og Booker-prisinnehaver, eier også tydeligvis fantastiske evner innen barnebokgenren også. Dette er en helt utrolig fin bok som jeg antar primært er for barn, men denne er som "Den lille prinsen" en bok som kan tolkes på flere plan og derfor godt leses av voksne også. Språket til Rushdie er som i andre bøker noe krevende, ikke treigt, og det tar noe tid å komme seg igjennom denne på tross av lengden og det at dette er en barnebok. Den tar utgangspunkt i en far og en sønn som leter etter fars tapte evne til å fortelle historier og hva som skjer når de prøver å få den tilbake.

Om forfatteren
Salman Rushdie is the author of fourteen previous novels, including Midnight's Children (for which he won the Booker Prize and the Best of the Booker), The Satanic Verses, and Quichotte (which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize). A former president of PEN American Center, Rushdie was knighted in 2007 for services to literature and was made a Companion of Honour in the Queen's last Birthday Honours list in 2022.
